Water Conservation

Committed to Water Conservation

Crystal Ridge Golf Club is committed to responsible water consumption and conservation in the Okotoks & Foothills area. Water is essential to life and we must treat it as such, which is why Crystal Ridge:

  • Only has irrigation on Greens, Tees, and Fairways. Yes, this means sometimes our rough isn’t green depending on what Mother Nature gives us, we use substantially less water than other golf courses. This is the future of golf, as it becomes more vital to conserve water.
  • Crystal Ridge was designed to conserve and retain as much water as possible on our property including rain water. Our lake and stream system filters the water through the entire property before it loops back again.
  • We were one of the first courses in Alberta to have waterless urinals in 2004. This might not seem like a lot, but urinals use 1 gallon of water per flush, meaning Crystal Ridge saves up to 30,000 gallons of potable (fresh) water per year!

Community is crucial and what’s a community without water? Let’s conserve together, as we all can make a difference!
